think +ly.
things are worse than i suspected.
i fell asleep during my tour. midsentence. i wish i was joking.
slash
my hands are shaking from the amount of caffeine that i put in my body today.
i’ll probably have some more in a little bit.

production week officially begins today. the orchestra sounded absolutely wonderful at the sitz probe last night. and it wasn’t even complete! the strings will come tonight. it’s going to be amazing.
the cast sounds wonderful, people are finally getting their entrances and cues (it’s about g-d time), and we’re blending really well on the ensemble numbers.
the set is…hopefully going to be assembled and functional by the time we begin tonight’s run. the “woods” drop that we have looks absolutely fantastic, though. i can’t wait for you all to see it.
my beard and wig for the mysterious man are awesometastic. today’s project in the car on the way to rehearsal is to put it into dreadlocks and braids, and tonight we’ll add foliage and twigs. and…rasta beads?! what what???
this is quite possibly one of the most fantastic shows in f.u.d.g.e. history, and i am so happy, proud, and excited to be a part of it. every single member of this family is doing their job so well and that’s going to show so much when you COME TO SEE THE SHOW.

no knot unties itself
so, it’s almost crazy time for into the woods. tonight is the last rehearsal before we begin putting the pieces of the show together into one cohesive unit. full cast rehearsals three times a week for the next two weeks, and then tech week. i’m scared shitless.
the cast all seems to be doing well in pulling their character’s weight, i’m afraid that i’m not doing as good of a job as i could be. i’m extremely far behind in memorizing lines. granted, i have two full characters worth of them and there’s only about 30 minutes of the 3 hour epic that i’m not onstage, but i’m still getting this creeping, uneasy slacker feeling that i’m not doing enough. which i know is bullshit somewhere deep inside, but maybe this feeling will just help me work at being off book harder.
i’m less scared about the blocking, my characters’ work is pretty easy all things considered (no transforming cross-species or being a dead woman in a tree), just a lot of lanky lurking around trees and standing downstage addressing the audience. the set is going to present some unique issues as far as navigating among several different-heighted platforms and two discs that rotate independently. but we’ll cross that bridge when we get there.
the cast seems to come together very well when we have full ensemble rehearsals, we do our own things very well but when it’s time to click together we have a fabulous time. this show is going to rock (once i learn my lines).
other than into the woods, what else has been going on? too fabulous for words now offers web hosting, that’s quite exciting. shannon, jeremy, and myself went to swansea for the 4th yesterday. it was quite fun. 25 days til new apartment. very exciting. lots.
